Grassroots Soccer Coach:

As a Summer FC Grassroots Coach, you’ll facilitate fun, positive soccer experiences for young players, ages 3–8. You’ll build genuine relationships with players, bring energy and creativity to every session, and help each child grow their confidence, skills, and love for the game.

We’re looking for coaches who are energetic, caring, reliable, creative, and passionate about helping kids reach their potential. You don’t need to be the most experienced coach! You just need to bring the right attitude, enthusiasm, and commitment to every session.

What you'll do:

• Lead fun, engaging soccer sessions for young players (ages 3-8), focusing on fundamental skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship

• Build positive relationships with players and families

• Create a safe, fun, and inclusive environment where every child feels encouraged and excited to play

• Help players develop their skills, confidence, and decision-making

• Be a positive role model and bring your personality and energy to the field

• Maintain and transport equipment, ensuring readiness for each session

Compensation: $25/session

Grassroots Soccer Team Lead:

As a Summer FC Grassroots Soccer Team Lead you’ll help young players ages 3–8 build confidence, develop their skills, and fall in love with soccer, while inspiring the coaches around you to do the same. We are looking for someone who who brings energy, leadership, and a genuine love for working with kids.

This is more than a coaching role. You’ll own the experience. You’ll mentor coaches, hold the team accountable, solve problems on the fly, and help Summer FC deliver a consistent, high-quality experience every time we step on the field.

What you’ll do:

• Set the tone for an energetic, positive, and fun coaching environment.

• Connect with players, families, and coaches and create an experience people want to come back to.

• Mentor fellow coaches and help every player reach their potential.

• Take accountability for attendance, scheduling, safety, program quality, and smooth session execution.

• Navigate weather, schedule changes, and the unexpected with confidence.

• Be a strong ambassador for Summer FC and help grow the game and our presence in the community.

• Participate in collaborative meetings, share ideas, and help make the program even better.

Compensation: $30-35/session, contingent on experience and leadership scope.

What we’re looking for:

Someone energetic, dependable, proactive, organized, and great with people. You take ownership, lead by example, and aren't afraid to step up when something needs to get done.

You’ll need consistent availability on weekend mornings and Sunday–Thursday evenings throughout the season, depending on when local programs are held.

Skills and Qualifications for Both Roles:

• Previous experience working with children Ages 3-8, early childhood and/or primary education qualifications are an asset

• Unyielding enthusiasm for soccer

• Valid vulnerable sector check

• Reliable transportation: Valid driver's license and vehicle
